Practice VOR navigation with your iOS device. Nav Trainer Basic is a FREE version of the popular Nav Trainer app for instrument pilots.
Features:
-VOR and heading displays.
-Standard rate turn buttons.
-Show / Hide radial lines
-Fly mode.
-Optionally, control the flight with the devices accelerometer.
-Wind correction.
-Test mode. Very similar to FAA VOR orientation questions. Shows you a number of airplanes around a VOR station. You have to choose the right one by adjusting the OBS and reading the instruments.
-Panel can be customize to be on either left or right side of the screen (left-handed people may find it more comfortable to choose the left panel in the settings).

Very good Application!! Just the right amount of features to teach and to learn how a VOR instrument or ADF works!! Perfect! Only the turn-, wind-, and speedbutton in the fly-function could be a little bit smaller.
The app states VOR/NDB Trainer on its front button, but there is only a VOR. Please fix this!
Student or long time pilot, this app worth gold! If this is great, paid one must be fabulous!!
I am getting back into rec flying, but studying materials can never substitute for actual flying. This really helps in teaching and seeing as your in the plane. Excellent for VFR students like me or anyone needing to hone those skills.
